Identity Mind (KYC) Plug-in page Redesign Case Study

IDMmock.jpg

A new design strategy for the (KYC) Know Your Customer plug-in product page. With the goal to decrease drop off rates and encourage customers to purchase.

WHAT IS IT?

(KYC) Know Your Customer is the process of a business verifying the identity of its clients and assessing potential risks of illegal intentions for the business relationship.

The Problem

The website is not organized efficintly and is causing a high drop off rate. It is extremely text heavy and uses very technical termonilogy.  There are calls to action scattered around the page leading to the same place which is confusing. This is causing our users not to sign up.

“How much time would be required of our engineers? Would it be worth the cost or find another system that does not require the work and time of internal engineers [...]”

FOR WHO?

The person who is using the plugin is looking for necessary information easily acessable to make an informed decision. A way to demo the product, pricing information and to be able to compare to other services.

We need to understand who is looking for this solution and what they are looking for.

The Redesign

If we have the site to display information better, we can educate our visitors on the product better.

We redesigned the site to cater to the user who doesnt really know much about regulatory compliance.

1.

We reorganized and consolidated the informatin so that it is displayed in a way that tells a story. The process of how the user finds the product, gets the information and sees if its something they need. If it is, then to implement it easily.

2.

Through our research we found out what vistors think is important in their decision making process.

Once we consolidated all of the information we broke the page into 3 sections with the middle section being interactive.

By having everything grouped together, the user can see everything they need to with in 2 or 3 swipes.

3.

We use specific visual hierarchy that becomes part of a pattern that gets repeated throughout the site.  There seemed to be alot of colors and different style icons being used so we created one style that also gets used repeatily thoroughout the site.

The Final Product
